A good nail polish is the stuff of magic. It brightens your look, completes your outfit, and is one of the most transitional accessories there are. There has definitely been a rebirth of color into the lacquer market as of late, and this season is no exception. Although the haute polish of last fall was Yves Saint Laurent’s Navy, Chanel has overtaken the polish trend and gone the opposite of dark with its Jade Collection – a two-piece pastel wonder featuring Jade, a delectable mint green, and Jade Rose, a beautifully understated dusty rose. Subtle, yet bright, and slightly shimmery, the Chanel Jade Collection is the must-have for nails this fall. Designed by Peter Phillips, Chanel’s Global Creative Director, the two polishes – although boasting colors more akin to a Spring palate – prove to be a stunning pop of color for a season that has, of late, enjoyed a more neutral and balanced color scheme. Having originally debuted on Chanel’s runway for Fall 2009, the release of these colors has been highly anticipated. Both polishes, running $25 apiece, are only available at Chanel.com and at Chanel boutiques and make-up studios. Impeccable in its elegance, the Jade Collection is entirely worth the wait. Find your nearest Chanel boutique and treat yourself – it’s always a joy to get lacquered up.
