Last night at the 92nd Street Y talk in New York, the topic of fashion as a currently fledgling industry was up for discussion. Glamour's editor in chief (who has seen her fair share of recession-fueled cutbacks this week) Cindi Lieve served as moderator to a panel of Ashley Olsen, Isaac Mizrahi, and Washington Post fashion critic Robin Givhan. The industry elite touched on various topics pertaining to the changing climate of the fashion world such as real life role models like Michelle Obama and fake designers like reality t.v. stars., but each panelist agreed that change was crucial in ensuring the survival of the fashion industry for tomorrow.
