There is a new menswear line coming to Macy's Inc. from Ruffian womenswear design team Brian Wolk and Claude Morais. The line, which is inspired by Target's Go International guest designer series, will be named Threads & Heirs and be produced by LF USA's Oxford Collections.
The design duo will create about 20 looks for its Macy's line, that will feature the Ruffian name next to Threads & Heirs. The price point for the casual line is going to be from $24 to $99 and will launch at 200 Macy's stores nationwide in March 2010.
Executive vice president and general merchandise manager of men's wear at Macy's said, "Brian and Cluade are very strong in the women's market. But they have a really good men's aesthetic and will bring a bit of a different flavor to the label."
Macy's vice president and men's fashion director Durand Guion added that they looked to Target for inspiration.
Wolk describes the line as inspired by Williamsburg, Brooklyn. "There's definitely a strong Americana beat with a Williamsburg aesthetic." The line will include blazers, short-sleeve plaid button-downs, striped dress shirts and jackets.
Suddenly, shopping for the men in your life got so much easier!
