The much lauded Fashion's Night Out is coming back next year on September 9, 2010. Be sure to mark your calendars and start saving for a night of celebrity filled, high fashion fun, and, of course, a lot of shopping!
Mayor Bloomberg, Vogue Magazine, the Council of Fashion Designers of America and NYC & Co (the city's marketing and tourism organization) will all return as sponsors. The event's return will be announced today.
The previous Fashion's Night Out brought out the likes of Editor-in-Chief of Vogue Anna Wintour, Sarah Jessica Parker and Diane von Furstenburg for a night of book signings, parties, and late night shopping. It was Ms. Wintour's idea, and is lauded as having been a great success. According to a NYC & Co survey, 75% of attendees did make a purchase that evening and two-thirds visited a store they hadn't before.
Next year's fashion night out is set to be held in New York, London, Paris, Milan, Berlin, Madrid, Moscow, Athens, Taipei, Tokyo, Beijing, Sao Paolo and New Delhi.
