What a surprise for Chicago last week. While many attended the Neiman Marcus on Michigan Avenue for Diane von Furstenberg's "Her Name is Rio" 2010 spring resort collection last Thursday, the 300 patrons were graced by the designer herself!
Once the crowd regained their composure, Furstenberg continued being cordial by answering several questions for the audience and posing for numerous photo ops. The show included a makeshift runway for neon brights and polka dotted sarongs, wrap dresses, and 1940s style bathing suits.
Furstenberg also made a small mention of "smelling out" sites for a potential DVF store. A DVF store in Chicago? One can only dream…
