Launch My Line features 10 well-known fashion designers matched with 10 industry professionals that have always dreamed of having their own clothing line. The professionals will work with the designers to bring their vision to life and create a fashion line. In the end, one team will win and have their clothing line launched. Each week a complete look from each team must walk the runway and be judged in front of a live studio audience.
The show’s hosts are Canadian twin brothers, and designers of DSQUARED2, Dan and Dean Caten. They designed 150 outfits both for Madonna as well as her dancers for the 2002 Drowned World Tour. Since then they have built a client list of celebrities like Christina Aguilera, Rihanna, Usher, Beyonce, Justin Timberlake, the Britney Spears’ Circus Tour and many more.
Judges Stefani Greenfield and Lisa Kline
Stefani Greenfield began as an assistant to the Vice President of Donna Karan's new DKNY collection in 1989 and then moved to ESPRIT where she was Vice President in charge of Merchandising and Design. In 1996, she launched SCOOP with partner Uzi Ben Abraham. Lisa Kline opened the Lisa Kline boutique in 1995 and has styled A-list celebrities for over a decade. She has also styled the cast of the original “Beverly Hills, 90210,” as well as the shows current remake.

Vanessa Gonzalez has been praised for her creative events focusing on the emerging art scene in Los Angeles. Attention was brought to Gonzalez with her revolutionary events of bringing east coast glamour and style to Los Angeles, leading her to be named “the museum’s event specialist” by the Los Angeles Times.
Coco is an award-winning graduate of the Academy of Art College in San Francisco, as well as a fashion designer with ADA in Paris. Her designs have sold at Neiman Marcus and Saks Fifth Avenue.
Thai graduated from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in 2002 and soon after became the associate designer for BCBG Max Azira up until 2004. He then opened a store, with partner Helen Nguyen, named Thai Nguyen Couture in Westminster, California.
Dan Karaty is one the most sought out choreographers today and has appeared as a judge on FOX’s So You Think You Can Dance. He made his debut in Broadway’s Footloose then danced for Britney Spears and for the *NSYNC World Tour. He has done work for Jessica Simpson, Kylie Minogue, Justin Timberlake, Usher and many others.
Roberto de Villacis is a designer who was first founded by Karl Lagerfeld after he had graduated from Studio Bercot in Paris. Villacis’s designs have been spotted in Vanity Fair, Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, W and Elle. Also, he has designed pieces for clients like Carrie Underwood.
David Applebaum is a highly praised architect of Southern California and has worked on the homes of celebrities like Frank Sinatra. He has a Bachelor of Environmental Design degree from Texas A&M University and a Masters degree in Architecture from UCLA. Applebaum lives off one philosophy, "Live Where You Love – Love Where You Live."
Galina is a designer who graduated with honors from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. She went on to create her line, Single, which is a luxury collection known for its feminine and energetic European fabrics, promoting women’s confidence and independence in style. Her line has been available at stores like Neiman Marcus, Lord & Taylor, Bloomingdales and more.
Eric Cubeechee is a DJ who has worked with many artists like the Black Eyed Peas, 3-6 Mafia, Gwen Stefani, Justin Timberlake and others. Cubeechee also worked the Latin Grammy Awards and hosted Source Sound Lab (UPN), The Hip Hop Show (LATV), MTV Direct Effect and others.
Julie is a graduate of the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising and launched Rhys Dwfen in 2006 of smart and sophisticated pieces. The line praised Julie as one of eight new designers in Gen Art’s 10th Anniversary Fresh Faces Fashion Show during LA Fashion Week in 2007.
Kathy Rose is the jewelry designer for her line, eponymous, and co-founder of the retail boutique, Roseark. Her clients include Charlize Theron, Madonna, Courtney Cox-Arquette, Kate Hudson, Angelina Jolie and Penelope Cruz.
Susan graduated from design school at American InterContinental University, Atlanta, then began to design swimwear. In 2008, Susan started her own line, Elevate & Collide, which includes versatile and modern looks.
Kevin Black is a music mogul who began as the tour manager for Run-DMC. Currently, Black is the president and CEO of his own Promotion/Marketing/Management firm U CAN FLY HOLDINGS, and has worked with artists like Prince, Janet Jackson, Eminem, 50 Cent, Dr. Dre, Black Eyed Peas, Mary J, Blige and others.
Akiko is a designer who got her Bachelor of Fine Arts in fashion design from Otis College of Art and Design. In 2003, she launched her feminine garments that led her to become a praise-worthy designer.
Marilyn Crawford is a graduate of the Harvard Executive Business School and is the CEO of Windsor PTM, a global strategic marketing company. Her clients include Coca-Cola, Sony Universal, Master Charge, CNN, Volvo, Larry King, Russell Simmons and Sean “P. Diddy” Combs. Crawford was named “Woman of the Year” from Arts Horizon and TD/Commerce Banks, and has received The International Women’s Exchange Compass Award, The Humanitarian of the Year Award and Ebony’s Entrepreneur of the Year Award.
Jim is a designer and has worked with celebrities like Ryan Seacrest, Hayden Panettiere and The Pussycat Dolls. Jim also made a dress for Evangeline Lily for the cover of Los Angeles Magazine and designed a red leather Jumpsuit for Christina Milian.
Louanna Rawls is a stylist for celebrities like Robin Thicke, Yoko Ono, Kim Kardashian and Kendra Wilkinson. Rawls currently works as a celebrity wardrobe stylist, costume designer for movies and commercials and is a personal shopper.
Emil is a designer who launched his own line, EMIL Couture. He has a number of clients one being Stevie Wonder’s wife, designer Kai Milla.
Merle Ginsberg is a fashion critic who has been featured in W Magazine, Women's Wear Daily, Harper's Bazaar, Rolling Stone, The London Times, Elle Decor, People Magazine and others. Along with being an L.A. based journalist, editor, author and TV personality, Ginsberg is the editor in chief of the Hollywood fashion website Fashionrules.com.
Tressa is self-taught designer and the founder of Fierce Couture. In 2004, she was chosen by Gen Art as one of their Fresh Faces in Fashion.
