One of the most anticipated events of the year, the world was a buzz Thursday night for Victoria Secret's Fashion Show. Always one of the most elaborate shows Victoria Secret's runway was mused with acrobatic dancers, a choir and tunes from the Black Eyed Peas.
Models walked the diamond dusted glitter runway in Victoria's Secret's best. This year was special with five new models inducted into the 'Angel' ranks to represent the brand: Chanel Iman, Emanuela de Paula, Lindsay Ellingson, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, and Candice Swanepoel. Marisa Miller had the honor of wearing the $3 million, diamond-encrusted bra.
With all the excitement, the night went to Victoria Secret's newest Runway Angel, Kylie Bisutti, who was brought before the world, and walked the catwalk for the first time as an Angel. After competing with 10,000 girls, narrowing down to 10 finalists, 4 challenges and fan votes later, as she prepped backstage, you could overhear the commentator saying, '..she's tearing up'… It was her moment, and everyone watched.
As chaotic as a production can get, we can never get enough of the backstage preparation, from the primping of the hair, to the makeup and clothes. The theme's this year was: Star Trooper, Pink Planet, Enchanted Forest and Romantic Journey, and the makeup reflected it. The models glimmered and shined, and were undeniable sexy. The looks for the show came from VS makeup line, as well as their So Sexy Hair line.
For eyes, VS Makeup Eyeshadow Quad in Satisfied was used, and played up with High-Definition Mascara in Blackest Black. For sparkle and shine VS Makeup Brilliant Shimmer Shadow in Stardust and Silver dust were layered for a beautiful effect. On cheeks, VS makeup Blush Trio in Giddy gave models a beautiful flushed look. For those sultry signature Victoria Secret lips, VS Makeup Lip Gloss in innocent was applied for maximum shine.
Of course we couldn't help but notice the full bodied bouncy hair, as the the models strutted the runway. For the added volume So Sexy Natural Hold Hairspray was used for life, and So Sexy Brilliant Shine Mist was used for shine. For the sexy tanned look of the models, Bare Bronze Gleaming Self-Tan Body Tint was used, and topped with Dream Angels Heavenly Shimmer Hair & Body Spray.
This star studded event always brings the best in fashion and entertainment, and the front row reflected just that, with Jay-Z, Dr. Dre, Michelle Trachtenberg, Christian Siriano, Keri Hilson, Kings of Leon. But, one of the biggest surprises of the night came from Heidi Klum, who just gave birth to her fourth child, but looked more beautiful and regal than we could imagine. I may say, that this Victoria Secret Fashion Show was one of the best shows I have ever seen.
