Winner: Evan Rachel Wood. The sparkling mini looks more polished when belted and paired with some killer black pumps. Wood completes the modern yet elegant look with a sleek side part and minimal jewelry. Shakira looks a little too 'Star Trek' droid with her iridescent tights and chunky boots.
Winner: Rachel McAdams. High fashion is no laughing matter and comedienne Wigg doesn't seem to quite catch on. McAdams nails the Stella McCartney frock by letting the intricate lacework of the dress stand out. Her bare legs and unfussy hair allow the focus to stay on the beautiful details of the dress. Wigg looks like she took a cue from Buddy the Elf with her tragic bright red tights and ankle boots. If she wanted to lend color to the look, she should have chose an elegant, ruby red shoe.
Anne Hathaway. Here's an example of where tights actually work.
Hathaway's dark hose seem to to continue the line of the dress all the
way down to her toes, therefore elongating her shape. The frilly frock
could be in danger of coming off too youthful but Hathaway's elegant
bob and sturdy jewelry keep her anchored in as a grown up. Iman , though
naturally long and lean, doesn't fill out the dress nearly as well as
Hathaway. Plus her ankle-strap heels and loose curls seem to steer the
look into the dreaded category of "prom".
Winner: Katy Perry. Both singers channel their signature rockstar style in their choice of accessories with this $49 H&M dress. Rihanna is usually the queen of deconstructed chic, this look being no exception, but Perry's belt and boots combo is inherently more sexy. The contrast of the black leather and suede against the flowery pattern is vampy and undeniably hotter than than Rihanna's broken-down army boot.
Winner: Victoria Beckham. It's tough to compare bodies with Beckham, especially when battling it out in a dress by Posh's own line. But Barrymore's shape is much closer to real life women than Beckham's could ever be, and for that, we applaud her. Drew looks smoking hot in the the Beckham dress and her shoes, brooch, and makeup all work perfectly together. The problem here is the length—if she had hiked up that hemline to the knee (or just below like Posh), she could have given the designer herself a run for her money.
