British tabloid sensation, former Spice Girl and fashion designer Victoria Beckham has been a busy girl. She has recently taken her denim and eyewear collections in-house, overhauled and renamed each, for their new Wednesday debut at Net-a-porter.com and a few select stores.
Through this new partnership, the British company Cutler and Gross will now be handling Beckham's eyewear. Beckham will no longer be dealing with Western Glove Works, but instead will be included at a few retailers, including Harvey Nichols, Bergdorf Goodman and Net-a-porter.com.
With this complete overhaul, not only did she change the names and the distributors, she completely revamped her website VictoriaBeckham.com last month.
This is a big step for one of the most popular British fashion designers. Expect to be seeing a lot more of this Beckham. With several upcoming personal appearances, Beckham will also be a judge on "American Idol" next month.
Not many are doubting her triumphant return to fashion. With friends like Marc Jacobs and powerhouse producer Simon Fuller, she already has a name and the tactics to back it up, she just has to keep up the name.
Jim Gold, Bergdorf Goodman president and CEO, spoke of Beckham's style and influence in the fashion world.“ Victoria Beckham is one of the great style icons today, and a supremely talented designer. I have great certainty that her new sunglass and denim collections will be extremely well received. As we have seen with her couture dress collection, the moment she wears a product of her own design, it becomes immediately coveted by others.”
