Tonight the prim and properly elegant British Fashion Awards will be held in London, and to mark the occasion, the British Fashion Council Press Committee made an announcement this morning with a list of who the bequeathed the titles of fashion's most important. The Power List, as it's technically being called, is a laundry list of British fashion's most influential names, including designers, models, photographers, and even makeup artists. What is noticeably absent, however, is the inclusion of the press itself (it is, after all, Anna Wintour's hometown). But since the list was compiled by the BFC Press Committee, they seemingly decided to leave themselves out.
The Power List and tonight's awards ceremony continues the newsworthy events that the UK has been experiencing all year in honor of London's 25th anniversary as a notable fashion capital. See if you can spot your favorite British designer or model on this year's official Power List:
Anna Whiting & Sam Gainsbury
Dame Vivienne Westwood
Sir Paul Smith
Sir Philip Green
Sir Stuart Rose
Congratulations to all the fabulous fashion icons who made the cut!
