Apparently, a few people missed the memo for the Ralph Lauren protest yesterday.
The NY Post reports that filmmaker Darryl Roberts organized a demonstration outside a Ralph Lauren Polo store on Michigan Avenue in Chicago. Roberts is chronicling America's unhealthy obsession with weight in his latest documentary "America the Beautiful."
The protest was to bring awareness to the label's use of ultra-skinny models in their print advertisements. The recent backlash being Fillipa Hamilton's over-Photoshopped waist in Lauren's latest advertisement.
The only problem of the filmmaker's protest was that according to the store manager, only four people showed up to protest. Hmmm… maybe they were all at lunch.
