Lifetime network has just released it's first previews of cast members for Project Runway's upcoming seventh season. The show will blessedly be returning to its homebase of New York after completing a trial run of traipsing through L.A. The west coast was all well and good but lacked the raw, gritty nature that avid fans of the Runway long to see. Host Heidi Klum and stylist Tim Gunn will return, along with their regular panel of judges including designer Michael Kors and Vogue's fashion director Nina Garcia. But the drama that we love to watch unfold, lies within the latest lineup of contestants, a motley crew of both novice and semi-established designers vying for their own line to be discovered. Designers hail from all the corners of New York to the far stretches of the world such as China to Mexico to the Cote d' Ivoire. So far the designers seem to possess all the same self-assured qualities that each new group brings to the show, but we're guessing it won't be long into next season before the banter, breakdowns, and outright battles start to occur. The lights go up on January 14 so tune into Lifetime to see what the next season of Project Runway unveils!
