No matter how much I love this time of year, I can’t deny the fact that an additional amount of stress seems to come along with it. That’s why this year everything on my Christmas list will have me easing into the New Year relaxed and feeling revitalized.
Four Seasons Spa Gift Certificate: After lugging shopping bags across the city filled with gifts for family and friends I’m going to need a day to unwind and I can’t think of a better way than enjoying a day at the spa. My personal favorite is the Spa at the Four Seasons Hotel in downtown Chicago.
The Collection, $15: Nothing seems more enjoyable than a good book on a cold winter’s day and The Collection, by Gioia Diliberto, is a novel that I’ve been meaning to read for sometime. Set in France in 1919, Diliberto tells the story of a young seamstress who is working for Coco Chanel.
Sofia’s Cashmere Baby-Cable Throw, $375: And while I’m curled up with my book, I’ll certainly need a cozy blanket, and this throw will be the perfect gift to keep me warm.
49 Square Miles Handbag, sale $550: While a handbag is not something that brings comfort (per say), it is something that makes me very happy and this bag from 49 Square Miles would make me near to ecstatic. It’s the perfect color to spruce up the winter doldrums and would look absolutely fabulous on my arm!
