Documentary photogrpaher Nan Goldin has been tapped exclusively to shoot for Bottega Veneta. The shots will be Goldin's first-ever advertisement campaign. Creative director Tomas Maier stated that he had been following her work and asked Goldin personally to partner with the brand. “Nan’s work is intensely personal, with a sincere and unusual focus on the individual,” said Maier.
Goldin is known for her very personal, as well as gender political autobiographical images, incorporating themes of "love, friendship and sexuality."
The ads will appear in fashion titles starting this February.
