So we're still reeling over the fact that television outlets QVC and the Home Shopping Network are sharing the torch as the new 'It' way to buy designer clothing. But successful diffusion lines with the likes of Isaac Mizrahi, Naeem Khan, and Erin Fetherston are making us think we should stop with the eye rolling and get on board already. And it already seems like 2010 will show no signs of slowing, at least for QVC, since the network has already announced future collaborations with Thuy, Christian Francis Roth, and (be still our beating hearts), Pamella Roland. Each line will launch during New York Fashion Week next month where QVC will host it's own fashion show (quite a step up from their kiosk in the Tents' lobby back in September). The show will take place on Saturday, February 13, and will feature Thuy’s By Thuy D, as well as new pieces from Rachel Zoe, Isaac Mizrahi, Erin Fetherston, and more. The show will be broadcast live from the Tents, meaning viewers will be able to buy fall 2010 products immediately, a perk of television-based retail. The rest of the designer collaborations will roll out
in the days following: Twist by Christian Francis Roth on February 14,
and Sterling by Pamella Roland on February 17
. The SCS team reporting on New York Fashion Week will be sure to let you know what we think!
