Our friends from the wildly popular e-commerce site Gilt Groupe have informed us that a new tier of exclusivity in their sales has been defined. Even before knowing anything else, we already want to be in it. The site, Gilt.com, has just formed a sort of Gilt Groupe group called Gilt Noir, comprised of the the top one percent of their customers. If you spend a mere $10,000 per year on the site, you're immediately offered access to preview the sales a full fifteen minutes before they open up to the public. They shop at the same time as the rest of us, at noon EST. Also, the first 2,000 Gilt Noir members, which reportedly already includes Gwyneth Paltrow, will also have access to special events like wine tastings and cooking classes. If only the $10,000 was required after you gained entry into Gilt Noir; give us a fifteen minute head-start preview and that wouldn't be a problem for anyone!
