Style Sleuth. Stepping Out Of The Skinny Jean and Into The Harem Pant

I made a very daring shopping purchase recently. I am usually a very
simple dresser and creative fashion ensembles just aren’t my strong
suit. I was shopping at one of my favorite boutiques and the owner was
wearing these adorable pants that looked like a mix between jodhpurs and harem pants.
The were made of dark blue combed cotton with the interior boasting a
blue and white checker pattern – they also featured a paper bag style
waistband. She wore them tucked into knee-high brown boots and a white
sweater with a brown belt.

My view on the harem pant has always been one of, “So you must have really liked MC Hammer”,
so I was surprised to have been so drawn to this type of trouser. I, of
course, had to try them on. It was a bit confusing with the low crotch
but I somehow figured it out. And a word to the wise, when you first
try them on, the butt does not look flattering – in fact it sort of
hangs similar to a diaper. What was fascinating though, was that the pants conform to your body after a minute of having them on and then the rear is quite flattering indeed!
