The former designer of Nina Ricci and Rochas, Olivier Theyskens, has a new trade! The ingenious European designer decided to flirt with the modeling world when he accepted an
invitation to pose for a fashion spread in the latest issue of Paris,
LA magazine, a European bi-annual publication. The dramatic spread, shot by Michael Hemy, featured a solo Theyskens in a variety of provocative poses. Ever the visionary, Theyskens even brought some of his own clothes, including
a vintage embroidered jacket and a tattered T-shirt. Other items in the shoot included Theyskens modeling a sheer top by Raf Simons and posing
shirtless, a fur bandanna by Rick Owens around his neck, his face
obscured by his luscious, raven locks. Hopefully Theyskens enjoyed his time in front of the lens and may consider modeling as a supplement to his oft-changing design gigs. I, for one, would like to see more!
