Awards season is upon us and with that comes rounds of Swarovski
crystals, sleek frocks, ball gowns with frou-frou galore and the
tallest embellished platforms you’ll ever see.
But while it’s fun to make popcorn and watch the celebs from home,
wondering which designer, jeweler, and makeup artist made their dresses
and put together their looks, you might want to take note of the many trends you’ll see coming down the red carpet.
After all, these are the trends you’ll probably see later on in the year, or better yet, at the the up and coming Oscars!
Golden Globes 2010
While it seemed like every other gown was Atelier Versace,
it wasn’t the haute couture designer label that caught our eye, but the
bright jewel tones on every other celeb. Bright pink, purple, cobalt
blue, and a patent red from celebs like Lauren Graham, Cameron Diaz, and Sandra Bullock won our hearts. My favorite had to be Ginnifer Goodwin’s short little blue number by Vionnet. From her pose to her Judith Leiber clutch to her black umbrella and thick black Brian Atwood heels, she looked picture perfect and the jewel tone sealed the deal.
