Sonia Rykiel just had her line of lingerie hit the states. Now, it is time for her newest knitwear collection for H&M, Sonia Rykiel Pour H&M. hitting 20 U.S. stores on February 20. The line will include many French accents, like Gallic chic writing on a black sweater.
Nathalie Rykiel, daughter of Sonia and artistic director, was in New York this past week to unveil the line the to press. Prices run from $5.95 to $69.95, including items like jewelry, rhinestone accented sweaters, and wedge platform sandals.
“The essence of Sonia Rykiel is the Parisian woman of Saint Germain des Pres, the Left Bank or Rive Gauche,” Nathalie said. “The idea of the collection is to offer the essence of Sonia Rykiel. This [H&M line] is absolutely true to our philosophy, which is about quality and know-how, but not about money. H&M gave me complete freedom with creation and quality. We used pure wool and pure cotton. It’s the DNA of Rykiel.”
