For those who missed Fashion's Night Out, you might be able to catch this year's night … on television.
Event organizers, including Vogue and the Council of Fashion Designers of America, have approached a few networks about a show revolving around the shopping event.
It seems as if CBS has picked up the rights to air the backstage logistics and creative work that goes into producing such an event. The program is set to air this year on September 15 at 8pm, five days after the event.
“When you can have a shared experience like FNO, it’s magic,” CBS executive producer Susan Zirinsky said. “It’s about supporting the economy and about the impact globally on so many jobs. People care about [FNO] and there is a reason to care about it, because of the economy, because it’s about an industry paying attention to what can impact a much larger strata of society.”
Though it will not be a reality series it was initially rumored to be, it is now looking like an hour long special of the second annual event.
