Burberry in 3-D

February 24, 2010 • Events, Fashion Shows

Who needs London Fashion Week when you can sit front row here in the states?

The Skylight Studio in New York was transformed to bring viewers closer to the Tuesday Burberry runway shows in 3-D. Viewers got to watch the live broadcasts of the runways in New York , Paris, Tokyo, and Dubai. A Los Angeles event was planned for later in the day due to the time difference.

Spectator Zoe Félix had mixed thoughts about the 3-D concept, deeming the technology to be more suited towards “animation that really leaps out at you” rather than a catwalk show. That said, she added: “I like the sharing aspect, the idea that people are watching the show together all around the world.”
