Now that Lindsay Lohan has (blessedly) parted ways with the house of Emanuel Ungaro after pretty much dragging their reputation through the mud, reports have come out claiming what we all hoped would never happen again: Lohan is reportedly looking for another label to design for. E! News reported late yesterday that the actress/designer wannabe has been actively searching for a new "project" that appeals to a completely different market. Apparently, couture wasn't quite for her. So, setting her sights considerably lower, Lohan has seemingly been in talks with the design team from, of all labels, Ed Hardy! Ah, karma. How sweet you are.
Lohan reportedly has "mutual friends" with members of the Ed Hardy design team (not shocking), and they've been enthusiastic to bring her on board. Yet, in order to avoid having her develop anything with an actual fit, the Ed Hardy team has (wisely) given Lohan a handbag collection to design for the label. "As of last week, there are three collections in development and
numerous more are expected," our source says. "Lindsay is very directly
involved with the project, and she's always pulling things online and
from magazines for ideas." But will the Jersey Shore-esque, Ed Hardy-loving D-bag crowd appeal to a LiLo design? One thing is for sure at least, much moreso than the Ungaro crowd, she's now found a demographic she can relate to.
