Hooray! I was so excited to hear that one of my favorite lines for fun and flirty dresses would soon be immortalized into a cosmetics line. Alice + Olivia—the label who, last NYFW, turned a packed Manhattan nightclub into a tranquil, twinkling fairyland that left the likes of Kelly Osbourne and Sophia Bush impressed, has been tapped by cosmetics giant M.A.C. Cosmetics to collaborate on a new collection. Head designer Stacey Bendet told WWD she will be creating a limited edition for the beauty brand, which will infuse the combination of girly glam and edgy rock that Bendet has become known for through her apparel. The electric color palette of the collection seems to pay tribute to the recent 80s throwback as deep turquoise shimmer pigments, purple nail polish and yellow
Dazzleglass Crème lip gloss take center stage among paler pinks and neutral grays. Prices range from $12 for the nail polish
to $19.50 for the pigments. The collection is expected to hit M.A.C. standalone stores and department stores that carry the brand on July 8th.
