Vera Wang must seriously be hard up for some cash. First Kohl's, now this…
In a long-term deal, Vera Wang will join the long line of recent bridal collaborations to create a collection for David's Bridal. The line of 20 wedding dresses will start at David's Bridal stores next spring, ranging from $600 to $1,500. Bridemaids dresses will follow and possibly children's wedding clothing.
“At David’s I think I will be able to bring a taste level. I’ve been doing this for 20 years in September, and whom can I reach? With all the development, with all the draping, trying to push the vocabulary of bridal ahead every single year, what is the point if I can’t share all this work [via] a brand that is reliable and credible to people, if I can’t bring it to another audience?” said Wang while she was explaining her reasoning behind this move.
With bridal dresses also at Urban Outfitters and J.Crew, why bother buying an expensive dress? Apparently you can just get the dress of your dreams in between eating pretzels at the mall and stopping by Sephora.
