OK, admittedly we felt guilt-ed into doing an Earth Day Eco-Chic post. After attending a Twitter Party at the Robert Verdi Lounge last night where the theme was sustainability I realized, I need to do a lot more to reduce my carbon footprint. At the very least, get more edumacated.
So in keeping with our blog's theme which is fashion, beauty and well…shopping, here are some links worth checking out!
Shopbop – Did you know Shopbop has a whole section dedicated to earth friendly apparel and accessories? Now you do! Find brands like Edun, Matt & Nat, Brigid Catiis, Re Collection and Nightcap Clothing.
Tobi – This is another one of our favorite sites and they have a section called Eco-Tobi with a huge selection of eco-wear. Find brands like Prairie Underground, Loomstate, Rogan and Alternative Apparel. They also carry Double K Jewelry and Ren Beauty products (among others).
ShopEnvi – The motherload of green apparel shopping! The entire site is green and the styles are spot on. At last count there were 20 designers on board.
WorldOfGood – This is eBay's dedicated site to all things green.
FashionEthic – Emily Katz, Ryann and Sublet are just a few of the brands on this site.
Of course you can always shop vintage and reuse what is already out there, or have a clothing swap with your friends. Not only is it earth friendly…it's friendly on the wallet!
MinkShoes – Rebecca Mink has been making these Vegan shoes since 2004 and they are hot!
Naya – I was recently introduced to this line and some of the styles are adorable, like the flats and gladiators.
CharmOneShoes – The Herb and High Tea collections are our faves.
MooShoes – The Zappos of cruelty-free shoes.
BeautyNaturals – A whole range of cruelty free skin care products.
LoveLula – A organic apothecary. We could spend hours on this site!
Puresha – The Sephora of organic and natural skincare
– Lauren Dimet Waters
