These Celebrity Trends Are On Overload

We’ve seen them all in our favorite clothing stores and we’ve had
enough. The metallics, the neon, the overdone floral, the jewel tones,
the gladiator shoes, the mismatched prints…

Some of them we liked and some of them we just got used to — because
we had to. But even celebrity fashionistas are going overboard on
some of the latest trends and it’s time we’ve given them a nod.

Perhaps we won’t keep them from wearing them. Even in moments when we’re
thinking they’re off their rocker for wearing these trendy items in
full force, we’re eyeing them up. But enough is enough. These are the
celebrity trends that are in overload!


Ruffles are frothy, girly and fun, but when they start hanging on
celebs at every awards show from the Golden Globes to the Screen Actors
Guild, we’re thinking it’s time to keep it at bay or take it down a
notch. It doesn’t look like they’re going anywhere though. Just
recently, Mad Men’s Christina Hendricks wore a poofy black ruffled

In more toned-down version (the kind we like,) Audrina Patridge
strolled the streets in LA wearing a peach strapless dress. But then Twilight’s
Nikki Reed fronted a colorful Cynthia Steffe Spring 2010 dress to the
Kid’s Choice Awards and Rachel Bilson wore an Express romper
to an
event and we started wondering when ruffles became so, well, teenager.
