Here is your first peek at Erin Fetherston's design for Juicy Couture.
Last month, the news broke that Fetherston had been tapped as a guest designer and creative consultant for the brand, starting with her holiday collection at the end of this year.
Fetherston revealed a Juicy Couture design at the Met Costume Institute Gala on Monday night, marking her first official day as Juicy's guest designer. Though it still has a material of Juicy's iconic tracksuits (high-shine velour), it has much more style (and history) than that.
“Given the theme of this year's Costume Institute Gala is 'The American Woman' and my new role at Juicy Couture, I drew inspiration for my gown from the iconic Juicy Couture tracksuit and the elegant gown silhouettes of the 1930s and 1970s, periods I love for their ease and glamour,” said Fetherston. “The gown is made in the signature Juicy Couture hi-shine velour with chiffon detailing.”
I thought I had saw a similarity between her dress and another but I will admit, her dress has a bit more glamour than that.
