WTF Was She Thinking? The Week That Was In Bad Celebrity Style.

Jessica Simpson at the Operation Smile Annual Gala in in New York

Comment: Don't call it a comeback but Jessica Simpson is trying hard to rid her life of all its past drama and start anew with a fresh and more selfless perspective. Hence, her new VH1 series on discovering the different ideas of beauty around the world. This dress, I have to say, isn't one of those ideas. The fit, pattern and accents of the dress are a nightmare, but the fact that she looks so uncomfortable doesn't help either. Why not have borrowed some influence from the all the exotic countries you've been traipsing around for months? Let yourself free in some light, flowy design. Instead you've squeezed yourself into what can only be described as  a garbage collage.

She's Thinking: Somewhere this is considered beautiful!

Kelly Bensimon at the American Business Council's Opening Dinner for the 2010 Courage Forum

Comment: Ok, first of all, I hate to be harsh but Kelly's not even a real celebrity. Why, the American Business Council would even invite her to one of their functions is beyond me. But what's even more unbelievable is why she would deem it appropriate to show up to one of the their functions in booty shorts and a low-cut top! Sure, some people were wearing jeans but even that seemed dangerously too casual. This is just a whole new level of something. And classy, it's not.

She's Thinking: I'm here because it takes a lot of courage to dress like this.

Daniel Craig at the Met Costume Institute Gala in New York

Comment: OK, I promise this is the last time I'll mention the Met Gala (maybe) but WTF Daniel Craig?! I was JUST reading that you were on Vanity Fair's International Best Dressed List in 2008. How could you have dropped so far so fast? You were James Bond for goodness sake and you can't spring for a gorgeous Armani or Tom Ford tuxedo for one of the year's most glamorous events??? For shame.

He's Thinking: In my next movie, I'm thinking James Bond swaps tuxes for sweatpants.

German actress Heike Kloss at the Ok! Style Awards in Berlin

Comment: It's true that there's nothing more beautiful than the glow of an expecting mother to be. What's not always true, however, is that we can always trust their fashion choices to be wise ones. Kloss has every reason to let the world know that she's expecting, so why not give her baby bump the spotlight instead of having it compete with this scary, watercolor-print-gone-wrong, tent-like monster of a dress. It looks like she's some sort of old Asian B-movie villain, looking to climb buildings and swat at planes. What ends up happening is that everyone turns to run before they can even notice the fact that she's pregnant. And even then, they probably don't want to get too close.

She's Thinking: I DO have unusual cravings these days!
