We’ve seen enough metallics, jumpsuits and little black dresses to last a lifetime, but somehow we still can’t get enough. Maybe it’s because celebrities like Marion Cotillard, Charlize Theron, and Kristen Bell are going out of their way to revamp old trends in a totally new, totally mod way. Keep on rocking those shoulder pads, those ruffled skirts and those polka-dot blouses, because stars are still wearing them with a vengeance. Guess we won’t be throwing out floral dresses just yet!

We thought we’d seen enough plain black jumpsuits to last a lifetime. That is, until Nicole Richie stepped out in a silk gold Dior one at a charity event. Since then, we’ve also coveted Marion Cotillard’s sequined strapless jumpsuit by LeFranc Ferrant over sheer booties. Lately, jumpsuits have come in all shapes, patterns, and sizes including everything from Tibi’s Ipanema silk print to Halston’s metallic tiers. We can’t wait to see what styles our favorite celebs will be flaunting next!

Queen of the jumpsuits Stella McCartney has come up with every innovative onesie under the sun, but we especially love her sequined crepe-silk set, which looks like an entire outfit, just attached!

Florals are the brightness and sweetness of spring and this season they’re all over the place. You’ll find them in every department store window, in every mall, in every boutique and shop. What you might not be expecting, however, is the array of different types of designs, colors, and textures you will find. Perhaps the best example is >the lingerie-meet-flower patterned frock worn by Charlize Theron at a celebration for her African Outreach Project. The Dior dress is in a rose-and-black design. Then there’s always Lea Michele’s floral print maxidress, which is a sight to behold. After all, April showers do bring May flowers – in whatever beautiful pattern or length.

You may have worn floral on your dress, on your tights, and an of course, on your tank, but have you ever thought about wearing floral on your jeans? Yes, floral jeans are back. Topshop has an array of floral-print jeans in their collection, including skinny ones in peach for just $90.

Little Black Dresses
The little black dress will never go out of style, but perhaps wearing the skinny, slinky sequined version is not always going to be a hit with the fashionably inclined. That’s why we’re so fond of the new modern version of the LBD, especially the ones with ruffles, and short sleeves worn by the likes of Kristen Bell, Kate Hudson, and Demi Moore. It’s still just as sexy, but equally as stylishly enticing to the eye. If you’re apt for showing a little skin, opt for a mini dress cut or a key hole in the middle top half of the garment.

In a mod version of this look, show a little skin in a mini dress cut without going strapless with this camilla and marc Simeon Ponte Knit Mini Dress with transparent silk tulle inset and shape-defining shoulder pads for an ultra-femme look!
