One of the most challenging beauty dilemmas for African American women, is finding the perfect foundation. As an African American woman, I myself, have found it daunting searching for a foundation to match my complexion. The colors are either too ashy, too red, or too yellow. So I was beyond excited, when one of my favorite cosmetic lines, FACE atelier (read an article earlier in the week about FACE atelier) launched their new Ultra Foundations for Women of Color.

The original formulas were perfect for blending and mixing and matching, and it's silicone formula made your skin look like silk however, the darkest formula was only Zero Plus, which only worked for mid-tone darker complexions.

So, with the new launch of FACE atelier Ultra Foundations for Women of Color 5 customizable, blendable shades that go from New #10 which is a cool brown with green undertones, to Zero Plus Plus that is a very dark brown were introduced. If you just need to warm up the other shades, you can use Heat, which is the ideal red, that will give your foundation a warmer color.

Did I find a perfect match? Well, I have to say #11 Mink, was so close I couldn't deny that it was one of the most perfect matches to my yellow/red skin tone that has ever worked for my skin. I was amazed at how well it blended and evened out my skin with the right amount of yellow, and hint of red. My skin was even and my dark circles were hidden without use of concealer. #11 Mink is now a staple in my everyday routine, and when I just want a sheer look I can add a little to my moisturizer and still get flawless skin.

Whatever your skin-tone may be Ultra Foundations are are genius! They will definitely give you the flawless skin you deserve!
