Brace yourself, Project Runway fans. The latest change has just been announced.
But fear not—they're NOT heading back to L.A. On the contrary, the newest development to the beloved fashion reality series is actually a positive one: it's going to become longer! That right, every episode in the upcoming 8th season is going to be a whopping 90 minutes instead of 60, as confirmed by the Associated Press to People magazine. “We did get always a few complaints from people that they wanted to
see a little bit more, which we were obviously very excited about,”
host Heidi Klum says. “So now we have half an hour more.”
The show will also start an hour earlier at 9 p.m. EST, but everything else about the setup will blessedly stay the same. The same up and coming talent with big dreams and even bigger attitudes will go toe to toe against each other, in hopes of being the last designer standing. The prize includes a $100,000 start up capital to launch his/her own line and a full fashion spread in Marie Claire. “We are not like other shows where we are styling them to look a
certain way or feeding them lines,” Klum says. “It’s all real, and
people like that.” Let all the fabulous fashion drama begin! Project Runway's 8th season debuts on Lifetime on July 29th.
