There was no question that last night's hottest party in the city was at Ukrainian Village boutique Black Market Caviar. The Chicago Avenue clothing and silk screen shop was hosting the release party of the Signature Tee collection by local design extroidinaire Anna Hovet. Hovet, a former Macy's Incubator participant, has carved a name for herself all over the city with her fierce urban style. Her eponymous line of fresh dresses and separates have already garnered rave reviews from The Chicago Tribune and Lucky. But her newest enterprise is the Anna Hovet Signature Tee collection, a limited-edition line of three adorable, super soft tees and tanks patterned in graphics Hovet created herself. Each design boasts an artful depiction of a fabulous female, accompanied with a foreign language, girl-powered quote like 'Everyone Loves an Educated Woman' (in Latin) and 'Try Harder; I'm Worth It' (in Norwegian) Needless to say, the premiere stock of tees were flying off the shelves! Among the other party favors, mobile photo booth Glitter Guts took shots of Anna Hovet fans while a stylist from Salon Sanjoy created funky updoes on guests. The tunes rolled through Black Market Caviar till 10 p.m. and when the party ended, everyone went home happy.
