Taking care of your mental, physical, and emotional health is proven as reigning precedent in maintaining an overall healthy lifestyle. It all sounds so boring and unfulfilling, but have you ever stopped to think about the 'sex-appeal' that exudes from certain innovative practices? Seriously, I'm excited just talking about them! Besides, with summertime in full swing, why not make it memorable one by engaging in daily habits that aid in sustaining your health – and add extra spice to your mundane routine! Read on to find out more…
Kissing. Did you know that kissing burns about 2-3 calories per minute? Impressive. Additionally, kissing can "relieve tension, reduces negative energy, produce a sense of well being, and it lowers your ‘stress’ hormone." Kiss me please!
Laughter. We all know the century old adage that states the best medicine for the soul is laughter; however, did you know that "a good belly laugh exercises the diaphragm, contracts your abdominal muscles and also works your shoulders"? A recent study also showed that laughing regularly protects the heart; research revealing that 15 minutes of laughter a day is as comparable as 30 minutes of exercise. Sounds like an easy workout to me!
Exercise. This one comes as no surprise, but one fabulous benefit of exercising regularly is its benefit in putting the 'spark' back in your sex life! According to mayoclinic.com, "Regular physical activity can lead to enhanced arousal for women, and men who exercise regularly are less likely to have problems with erectile dysfunction than are men who don't exercise — especially as they get older." In short, revamp your exercise routine to include your honey, and then cool down together, in the bedroom.
Role Playing. Is an Oscar in your future? Besides heating up your love life, role playing has major health benefits that include an opportunity for two people to escape the daily hustle and bustle of life by living vicariously through the eyes of another. "Part of enjoying tantalizing sex is experiencing a level of escape," says Scott Haltzman, M.D., an assistant professor of psychiatry at Brown University and the author of The Secrets of Happily Married Men. "Role Playing interweaves well with the natural tendency to dissociate from the daily demands of life. It helps woman experience more liberation under the covers, because she can put herself mentally in a different, more exciting place." I'm buying my costume now!
