"I've got a feeling…that tonight's gona be a 'Minx nail' night"! In the likes of this new trend, chrome nails are showing up everywhere, and Second City Style loves it! From the mega-glam Beyoncé to rock star maven,Rihanna, it looks like minx nails are giving boring old manicures a swift run for their money!
So, what exactly are 'Minx Nails'? According to minxnails.com, "Minx is a solid film with an adhesive back that is heat activated. The heat gives minx the conformability to fit over the compound curves of nails and seals it onto the nail bed." The blinged out nail art normally lasts anywhere between 1-2 weeks and requires no top coat or base. If applied correctly, the minx has a waterproof seal that will not release until you are ready for a new set. Additional benefits include no chipping, and the film can be applied on top of acrylic, gels, silk wraps, or natural nails. Not every nail salon specializes in minx nail applications, but rest assured that you can find a local spa or salon here.
We'd like to hear from you! What do you think about this new ‘iced-out’ trend for your nails?
