Looks like even Karl Lagerfeld's plan could not help the flailing brand…
The luxury lingerie and swimwear brand Eres will close its three U.S. stores beginning in August this year. Those stores will shift to franchises and shop-in-shops, which is very similar to the shops' style in Europe.
The brand is currently looking at U.S. retailers such as Neiman Marcus to carry the in-store Eres spaces, as well as retail franchise partners. “We currently have opportunities for several possible franchises and in-store shops in Los Angeles, Palm Beach and Washington, D.C.,” he said. “We expect to have other opportunities, especially after the Miami swimwear show this month. "
The three boutiques are currently located in Palm Beach, Los Angeles and Manhattan.
