With its ever-evolving presence and high caliber of uniqueness, I swear my senses are always alerted when new information arises.  As your favorite beauty editor (wink) check out some of these historically cool facts about the cosmetics industry! History lessons have never been so glamorous!


Did you know: Elizabeth Arden was the first beauty expert to introduce red lipstick to the USA?

Did you know: Clarins was A European originated brand, Clarins was formulated in 1954 by Jacques Courtin-Clarins, a historical icon in the medical field that vowed to “take beauty more seriously” and generate products for women inspired by love?

Did you know: M*A*C Cosmetics was launched in 1984 by Frank Toskan and Frank Angelo, two entrepreneurs that took notice of a certain creative flair lacking in the industry?

Did you know: That Waxing before any spa treatment can cause accelerated irritation?

Did you know: Benefit Cosmetics was created by the Ford Twins in 1976, best known for their fun and quirky style?

Did you Know: Dior Cosmetics was born in 1954 making its debut with the matte lipstick?
