A Day in the Life: My Nutrisystem Journey Week 4

A long way from the final stretch! Good thing I have no shame!

You have no idea how it pains me to not only look at, but post this picture taken last night (sorry the quality is horrid, it was taken with a Blackberry). You see, since my fat clothes are getting looser I thought I looked better, until I scrutinized this picture.

This is the Jodi Arnold dress I was planning to wear to my highschool reunion in June, but couldn't quite zip up. So I was thrilled it zipped when I tried it on last night to attend an event. Possibly a little too thrilled. I realize I have a long way to go. Oy.

So I lost another 1.5 lbs. this week for a grand total of 5lbs. now. Not quite the results I had hoped for, but everyone is telling me to remain positive. I have been going to the gym and alternating between spinning and total body classes which are my two favorites and I have been sticking to the plan (less the glass of wine or two I have had, but I do factor those calories in!). The Nutrisystem food is actually much better than I expected which makes it easier to stick to the plan. I am one of those people who would rather not eat than eat something disgusting like plain boiled chicken.

I am getting a little worried because in a little over a week I am taking my son to see his grandparents for 10 days. When I go 'home' it's usually all about food. My mother is an excellent cook and hostess. Not only that, but some friends are coming into town as well and already they want to go to this restaurant and that watering hole (bar) from our past. So I know those 10 days are going to be a true test and I, of course, expect to cheat a little. However, I am going to send 10 days worth of Nutrisystem food ahead of me so I am least prepared for battle. I am not giving up and ready to fight the good fight! After all, New York Fashion Week is less than 6 weeks away and I have a lot of designer clothes to wear. God willing.

    Hang in there, it doesn’t get easier, you just have to stay motivated. I have lost 80 lbs in 10 months. I exercise every day and I have lost most of my weight by just walking. For me when I changed the way I ate and the way I exercised they weight started to come off easily. I have about 20 to 30 lbs to go but I am still motivated to make it. You can too, keep up the hard work and it will pay off.

  2. My elegance secret is eating wholesome, going to the gym, 8 hours of sleep and laughter.

    ;o) But never go ANYWHERE without mascara.
