The Future is Coming, And it’s Super Nosy

August 18, 2010 • Social Media

FourSquare already scares me because no one needs to know where I am 24/7 so anyone looking into my purchases for kicks is just as terrifying.

Swipely is a new service that allows users to link their credit cards to this social networking site that allow other users to see all of your credit purchases. So, every time you buy clothes, go grocery shopping, have an emergency McDonald's food run at 2 am, everyone will see it on your FaceBook and/or Twitter account.

The website bills this as "an online service that turns purchases into conversations". My expensive impulse purchases and late night food habits are of no one else's concern, thankyouverymuch.
