When I was invited to the preview of All Black's F/W 2010 Collection, at the Shoe Shoe Boutique (www.shoeshoe.biz) in Tel-Aviv, I decided to search on the internet for a look book or stocklist to know what to expect… I found nothing. So for those of you who want to know what to expect from All Black or from shoes this Fall read on.
The collection harks back to the 1920's; Mary Jane's, tap shoes, brogues. And the heels are all completely wearable on a day to day basis. However the vintage inspiration is give an modern twist with simple details: the Mary Jane's have a center buckle, the tap shoes – although sequinned – lace up so that the foot can still be seen, and the brogues have scaling details.
In the same collection there are simplistic flats with either highly pointed toes or some of the detailing mentioned above to give the collection a progression. The use of leather, velvet and embellishments make this a very versatile collection that is bound to appeal not only to girly girl's like myself, but also to women who love edgy minimalist designs or even for the woman who wants a statement shoe.
