It seems the relationship between the Kaiser and the Italian company Hogan has gotten sweeter. Earlier this year, Karl Lagerfeld announced he would be designing a special capsule collection of footwear for the Tod's-owned Hogan, to help expand its consumer reach. The shoes have yet to hit European shelves (they're slated to drop in November), but a new deal has already been inked. Lauded as " a genius of style and an artist who interprets fashion in a modern way," by Hogan's president Diego Della Valle, Lagerfeld has now agreed to design a new line of ready-to-wear apparel and accessories for the label.
The womens spring/summer 2011 capsule collection will be a mix of signature Lagerfeld pieces in addition to some reinterpretations of Hogan classics. To coincide with the collection (and since he loves doing it so much), Lagerfeld has also created a short film to illustrate Hogan's philosophy and aesthetic. The new capsule collection will debut in Paris on October 2.
