Summary: Drawing on shapes from the past, Jill Stuart created beautiful pieces for today. Her Spring 2011 collection included everything from early 50s I Love Lucy dresses, to 60s Laura Petrie slim satin pants and blouses. Then she moved into the 70s, with long mini-pleated dresses with boots. Some of the longer suede shorts were reminiscent of the 80s, but not necessarily in a good way with their dowdy fit, but the perfect cuts on some of the longer slim dresses and the closing cream chiffon dresses with black ribbons and belts were simply beautiful. The collection was diverse, crisp, sophisticated, ladylike and overall stunning.
