Summary: Finally some color! I have to admit I was getting a little tired of seeing a color palette of basically no color. I mean how many names for beige and it's variants can you have? Alexandre Herchcovitch’s Spring 2011 collection was a welcome profusion of vibrant colors and futuristic shapes. Consisting of mostly puff-sleeved sheath dresses with pleated backs they may not have been the most flattering but they were well executed and sophisticated. Herchcovitch’s inspiration was abstract expressionist artists Mark Rothko and Barnett Newman which was evident in the graphic prints and patterns. Each model's lipstick and bun were matched the color of her look perfectly. The sunglasses worn by some of the models were an amazing collaboration with Mykita. I can't wait to get my hands on a pair!

Color Palette: ecru, peach, blush, pink, purple, green, electric blue, red, black

Fabrics & Textures: linen, cotton, silk, graphics, ombre, paint splatter print

Key Looks: blue linen puff sleeve sheath; multi-colored paint splatter print tank dress; multi color graphic print pants with a puff short-sleeve top; ombre jumpsuit
