Was Grunge Ever Really Trendy?

1285148610_6466595831     I never got into the "grunge" look. Why would you purposely wear an outfit that makes you look like you got into a fight with the early 90's?  Oversized plaid with destroyed denim does not make an acceptable ensemble.

Oddly enough, the people who can afford the most pristine clothes out there are usually the ones who rely on this look. This week, this unfortunate trend was spotted on two frequently discussed starlets, Lindsay Lohan and Miley Cyrus.

These girls weren't even old enough to pick out their own clothes when this look was popular, so what compels them to dress like this? Maybe next time pick one grunge piece and pair it with something a little more refined, ladies.

Sorry to say I was a grunger, but I look at the look now and cringe – it’s just so scruffy.
