The new and improved Marc Jacobs e-commerce website has finally launched! Just like the brand, the new site has more of a young and playful feel.
The site, which also mixes illustration, video and photography, will all pose as the "click-and-buy" mechanism for online shoppers. And since the site doesn't use Flash, shoppers will be able to log on with their mobile phones and iPad.
The object was to “bring alive the store,” said James Gardner, founder and chief executive officer of Createthe Group, the online design firm that has worked with Marc Jacobs since 2004. “It’s going back to the roots of the Marc Jacobs brand, which is to be fun, entertaining, engaging and cool.”
Though the store will sell all categories from Marc Jacobs as well as Marc by Marc Jacobs, not everything sold in stores will be available on the website. There is also a range of prices for everything, from $30 for perfume to $8,000 to a fur coat. You can see all the fun at marcjacobs.com!
