It seems there's other news to be had from London, outside of this week's London Fashion Week: British designer Vivienne Westwood has entered into a global licensing deal with British company
Zeon Ltd., to create a collection of men’s and women’s watches under her eponymous label.“Westwood
is incredibly proud of her English heritage, so we are pleased to be
partnering with an English company,” said Carlo D’Amario, managing
director of Vivienne Westwood.
Retail prices will range from
100 pounds, or $157 all the way up to to 500 pounds, or $785, and will be available for
fall 2011. The line will initially roll out to British department and
specialty stores, and will later be distributed in Europe, the U.S. and
Asia. Other brands Zeon produces watches for include Fiorucci, Ingersoll and Superdry. The Vivienne Westwood watch collection is slated to launch at Baselworld, the world watch and jewelry show, in March 2011.
