What is being called the "One Click, Two Worlds New Media E-Commerce Experience", the new site invites you to engage and explore the two very different shopping experiences the Donna Karan lines have to offer, both of which have been retooled as an all-encompassing virtual shopping experience.
Each line boasts its own bevy of personalized perks. Donna Karan New York will feature the exclusive Donna's System of Dressing—an application where Donna herself presents the why and how of her must-haves for the season. It will also feature Donna's Journal, in which she shares her personal picks, as well as interviews VIP fans and answers questions that guests to the site may have. Guests will also have the chance to participate in a launch celebration “enter-to-win” contest, where they could win a $10,000 Donna Karan wardrobe.
The DKNY portion of the site will feature The DKNY Times, a newspaper-styled account featuring trends and NYC street photography, as well as a first time ever collaboration with New York Magazine that will feature a blog and cultural recommendations from newyorkmag.com.
Both portions of the site will feature some of the same applications, including The Art of Design, which will discuss the story behind the must-have items as well as inspiration, construction insights or styling tips, Press Highlights, which provides a direct shopping link to a featured product, Donna Karan New York and DKNY fashion show and backstage highlights and the Where, What, Why and When section featuring upcoming events.
