Retail Detail. Vince Opens First Chicago Boutique on Oak St.

FInally! Just in time for the chilly months, Chicago is getting its first Vince. The luxury contemporary brand best known for its cashmere and leather pieces, will open its first Windy City boutique this Friday, October 1st. Located in the former Chasalla space on Oak Street (where else?), the new outpost will carry the women’s, men’s, and denim collections not found at nearby Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus.

“The men’s and denim lines are both young, and the businesses have been growing for us, so we’re excited to give them the attention they deserve,” Christopher LaPolice, the L.A.-based line’s cofounder and president, told Chicago magazine. “We’ll have a bigger selection of items that complement each other, maybe about 25 different styles of sweaters ”. That's compared to the typical 15 or so styles found in department stores. The store is coming at the perfect time to stock up on staples for fall and winter. Just think of all that decadent cashmere! Other notable items the boutique's premiere inventory will include cotton T-shirts ($60), duo plaid shirts for men($195), straight-leg corduroys for women ($220), shearling leather jackets ($1,350), and chunky cashmere and wool sweaters for both sexes (women, from $148; men, from $145). Welcome to Chicago, Vince!
