It has been three months and I finally weighed myself yesterday. I lost a total of 8 pounds. Not great, but it's better than nothing. I have to admit, by the third month, the Nutrisystem dinners were getting really hard to choke down. So now I'm left with no breakfasts or snacks, a few lunches and a ton of dinners.
Sadly, I know myself. After a couple of months I find these diets too restrictive. I like variety when I eat and I love going out to dinner! Mind you, since I had a baby I go out very little, but I miss making and sharing meals with my husband. I would totally stay on the breakfasts and lunches if I could, but then that wouldn't be the program now would it?
Am I happy with the results? Not really, but I know it's my own fault. I knew headed into New York Fashion Week last month I was going to be in trouble. It is so hard to eat that week and when you do, it's usually a glass of wine with some passed canape or something. I pretty much lived on popchips and Kim Crawford wine.
Would I recommend Nutrisystem? Absolutley! First of all, it's easy. Second the food is actually quite good. If you are one of those people who can't be bothered with weighing every morsel of food and don't want to be consumed with counting calories and meal planning, then this is the program for you. I also feel if you have a lot of weight to lose, you are going to LOVE this plan. The weight is going to drop of quickly.
I still have another 10 lbs to go, but I have decided not to beat myself up about it. Besides a lot of my old wardrobe is fitting again! I will do a combination of finishing the rest of my Nutrisystem meals and South Beach (which is low carb and seems to work for me). I'm too busy enjoying my son to be consumed with my weight. Life is too short. Besides, I have a sitter and dinner reservations tonight!
