Beauty Buzz. Combat Dry Skin with Bobbi Brown’s Hydrating Skincare

October 8, 2010 • Beauty

It's that time of year again where the weather is cooling, and days now consist of a jacket, boots, and for me, dry skin. Yes, my skin suffers during this time, because the air is getting drier and my summer moisturizer is no longer hydrating enough.

What's the solution? Bobbi Brown's new Hydrating Skincare line! I was so excited to try this new line, as it claims to give 'A Drink of Water for Thirsty Skin', so would it work for my dry, patchy skin?

Bobbi's new Hydrating Skincare line is supposed to wok three ways: To first hydrate; designed to replenish dehydrated skin with the infusion of moisturizing Sodium Hyaluronate and Glycerin. As well as balance and revive skin with skin barrier-protecting ingredients like Zink, Calcium, Copper Iron, Magnesium and Potassium. The natural humectants help maintain water deeper in the skin for healthy glow, while the star ingredients, including collagen to restore plumpness, and condition the skin for a youthful feel.

Included in this skincare like is the Hydrating Face Tonic, Hydrating Gel Cream, Hydrating Face Cream, Hydrating Eye Cream and Hydrating Intense Night Cream. Using this new skincare care, every night/morning, I first would wash my face with my favorite cleanser, followed by  Face Tonic to remove any residue, and to prep my skin for the creams. I then applied the Eye Cream gently under my eyes, and followed with the Hydrating Cream. My first impression of this skincare was the smell of the Tonics, and Creams. They were really refreshing, and I could smell the cucumber, and felt how great the Witch Hazel felt on my skin. In the morning my skin did feel amazing, it was very soft.

I have been using the skincare for a few weeks now, and I can tell a difference in the way my skin feels. It definitely isn't as dry, but now it is a little plumper than usual, and my skin is still very soft. I do notice a difference if I don't use it.

Will I continue using ? Yes, maybe not the whole line, but I do love the Tonic, and the Hydrating Intense Night Cream feels amazing, at the end of a long night.
